Please veto both bills. HB 687 is a no Due Process gun confiscation bill. It allows hearsay, telephonic hearings to take place without the accused being notified of the hearing. HB 687 sets up a process for secret, "star chamber" like proceedings to confiscate someones guns based upon the word of a disgruntled relative, neighbor or even a spurned lover. HB 1660 is an elder care gun confiscation bill, which also passed both houses of the General Court on a party line vote. I also want to say thank you for designating the firearms industry as "essential" during the Covid-19 pandemic. In so doing, you ensured that thousands of Granite Staters were able to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Please veto HB 687 and HB 1660 and keep standing strong for the Second Amendment.
