Support the School Act, Stop the Education Crisis, Give Parent's Funds
Dear Honorable Sir or Madam,
As your constituent, I support the School Choice Now Act and Senator Rand Paul’s SCHOOL ACT (S. 4432).
During this time of uncertainty and instability, we as parents should be empowered to use our own tax dollars and decide what is best for our family’s educational needs. Funds following our students will give us the essential resources to navigate educational needs including curriculum, tuition, technology, support for special education, classes outside of the home, technology, and enrichment.
Parent’s need to flexibility to choose how to best educate our children. We need better resources to protect the education of our most vulnerable children. As the impact of the ongoing pandemic and the government response efforts continue to place parents in situations requiring greater flexibility in balancing working and providing for their families’ critical needs, especially when educating their children at home.
A proposed bill within the HEALS Act, the School Choice Now Act, and Senator Paul’s SCHOOL ACT will help our children attain a proper education during this time. For working parents, single parent households, minority households, and households with special needs children, it is imperative that there is an alternative to schooling when local and state school districts are shutting their doors. The School Choice Now Act will provide parents control of their educational decisions.
As parents, we are gravely concerned about the negative effects upon children with schools closed. We are seeing indicators of serious emotional, mental, and social impact upon children. The School Choice Now Act can provide necessary funds to support our families and our children’s educational needs during this time.
Sincerely,
Your constituent
Children are being left behind. Give Parent's Education Funds to support the child.
As your constituent, I support the School Choice Now Act and Senator Rand Paul’s SCHOOL ACT (S. 4432).

Parent’s need the flexibility to choose how to best educate our children. We need the resources to protect our most vulnerable children.
More than half the students in a southern California survey “said they’re in need of mental health support since school closures began in mid-March.”
A proposed bill within the HEALS Act, the School Choice Now Act, will help our children attain a proper education during this time. It is imperative that there is an alternative to schooling when local and state school districts are shutting their doors. The School Choice Now Act and SCHOOL ACT will provide those parents control of their educational decisions.
When the schools were shut down by our Governors it was hard enough for the average student, but extremely hard on the special education students and their families, as distance virtual learning was an epic failure for these children. You see those with Autism and cognitive disabilities are not able to do the tasks without assistance. When distance learning was implemented, the responsibilities of an entire special education team, such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Adaptive PE, and one on one Para assistance have been put on the parent to implement.
Problems like this are solved by this bill because federal and state school funds can be given
directly to parents, so they can hire at home services. The School Choice Now Act can provide necessary funds to support our families and our children’s educational needs during this time.
President John F Kennedy said. He said, “Children are the world’s most valuable resource, and it’s best hope for the future.”

Support the School Act, Listen to Parents
As your constituent, I ask you to support the School Choice Now Act and Senator Rand Paul’s SCHOOL ACT (S. 4432). Parents should be stewards of their children’s educational funds. We need the flexibility to choose how to best use those funds best fitting our children's educational needs.
In many of our districts the schools FAILED TO LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF PARENTS. A majority of parents requested to return to full time school in the Fall. Distance learning did not work for our kids. As schools closed, we saw the detrimental impact on our children’s mental health, emotional well-being, and social development.
“The current president of the American Academy of Pediatrics recently stated, “missing school can have serious consequences for child health and well-being…”
School closures have devastated hard working parents, special needs families, single parents, and disadvantaged communities. Our children are regressing academically with subpar online learning.
During this time of uncertainty and instability, we as parents need to be empowered to use our own tax dollars and decide what is best for our family’s educational needs. Funds following our students will give us the essential resources to navigate educational needs including curriculum, tuition, technology, support for special education, classes outside of the home, technology, and enrichment.
Please support these bills,

Distance Learning Isn't Working
As your constituent, I support the School Choice Now Act and Senator Rand Paul’s SCHOOL ACT (S. 4432).
‘One size fits’ all does not work in education and learning. Particularly in these times of crisis, our kids are losing the skills they had acquired and experiencing academic regression. We, as parents need support for our students.
It’s a crisis to have deaths from suicides and drug overdoses in H.S currently exceed deaths due to the COVID-19 virus. That means the current “distance learning” and school models are failing our students. Many high schoolers don’t even check in. Parents desperately need support to provide educational resources and a thriving learning environment.
Astronomically, irrefutable numbers showing an increase in depression, stress, anxiety, and suicide ideas among our CHILDREN.
We ask you to not add additional burden upon us by forcing families into educational structures that do not work for that child. These crossroads in our children’s education will make all the difference for their future.
Please support these bills,
Sincerely

Let Our Tax Dollars Follow Students during this pandemic
As your constituent, I support the School Choice Now Act and Senator Rand Paul’s SCHOOL ACT (S. 4432). Parents should be stewards of their children’s educational funds. We need the flexibility, more than ever, to choose how to best use those funds ensuring a best case scenario to our children's educational needs.
“The current president of the American Academy of Pediatrics recently stated, “missing school can have serious consequences for child health and well-being…”
School closures have devastated hard working parents, special needs families, single parents, and disadvantaged communities. Our children are regressing academically with subpar online learning.
It is alarming to see the increase in child abuse and sex trafficking that has occurred by removing children from school. With schools remaining closed, abuse and exploitation of children only increases harming our most vulnerable who rely upon the school community to protect them.
In many of our districts the schools FAILED TO LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF PARENTS. A majority of parents polled have requested to return to full time school in the Fall. Parents Need Resources to Protect our Children's Education

Funds following our students will give us the essential resources to navigate educational needs including curriculum, tuition, technology, support for special education, classes outside of the home, technology, and enrichment.
We need the flexibility to choose how to best educate our children. We also need to protect our most vulnerable children.
Sex trafficking and exploiting children INCREASING because schools are closed. In April 2019, the national tipline received about one million reports of child exploitation online. This April 2020, the Center received more than four million reports.
“It’s due to a variety of factors: with kids being home, parents being home due to stay at home order, schools being closed,” said Rebecca Sternberg, who oversees the Cyber Tipline at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, Va. “Children just have more access to being online.”
A proposed bill within the HEALS Act, the School Choice Now Act, will help protect our children. Allowing parents to attain a proper education during this time, protects their children from online predators and exploitation. For working parents, single parent households, minority households, and households with special needs children, it is imperative that there is an alternative to schooling when local and state school districts are shutting their doors. The School Choice Now Act will provide those parents control of their educational decisions.

As parents, we have a crisis upon us, our children. We are gravely concerned about the negative effects upon children with schools closed. We are seeing indicators of serious emotional, mental, and social impact upon children. A direct result of school closures and lockdowns, there are tremendous stressors placed upon parents.
“Child abuse is still taking place, and probably more than ever given the stress of the current situation and having the entire family at home due to social isolation,”
Bills like this support parents and lessen the stress of education. At least 1 in 3 children quarantined are developing PTSD, suicide and drug overdose deaths have surpassed COVID deaths for high schoolers, and students with disabilities have been left behind. Disadvantaged communities are pushed further into poverty literally. The School Choice Now Act can provide necessary funds to support our families and intervene in the crisis our children are facing during this time.

Your constituent

School closures have devastated hard working parents, special needs families, single parents, and disadvantaged communities. Our children are regressing academically with subpar online learning.
Closing the schools have left our children vulnerable, by simultaneously opening a door to an online playground with predators. In times of emergency support structures shift and collapse.
Ghada Waly, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime stated, “COVID-19 has amplified trafficking dangers,” she said, with job loss, poverty, school closures and a rise in online interactions opening new opportunities for organized crime groups.
During this time of uncertainty and instability, we as parents should be empowered to use our own tax dollars and decide what is best for our family’s educational needs.
