Support the Missouri Mechanical License Bill and Hearth and Barbecue Product Exemption
Legislation was re-introduced in the Missouri state legislature that would create a statewide license for mechanical contractors. This legislation, Senate Bill 11, includes the exemption wording for hearth and barbecue products our members worked so hard to add to last year’s bill before the COVID shutdowns. SB 11, as currently written, will protect our members from being over regulated and put out of business by placing us under the HVAC umbrella.
Senate Bill 11 will come up for a vote before the full Senate within the next few weeks. Your Senator needs to hear from you! We urge you to email your Senator NOW to ask that they vote YES for SB 11.
If they don't hear from you, we may have to start this process all over again next year.
