TAKE ACTION AND OPPOSE THE WAREHOUSE BAN BILL

Please take urgent action today to stop the anti-warehouse bill, AB 2840, from passing the State Senate.

AB 2840 would essentially shut down all warehouse developments in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties that are 100,000 s.f or more within 1,000 ft of a “sensitive receptor” which refers to basically most non-industrial uses. Any projects not banned must have a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) as a condition for approval.

The hearing on AB 2840 has been rescheduled to the week of June 27.

We are asking everyone associated with commercial real estate to contact members of the Senate Governance & Finance Committee by email and phone to register strong opposition to the bill.

You will first send the email to Committee members and then click on each Committee member to call them.

NAIOP SoCal has generated over 2,000 emails and dozens of phone calls so far in opposition to AB 2840. Please feel free to share this message with colleagues and friends.

Your voice is making a difference in helping educate lawmakers on the negative impact AB 2840 would have on jobs, emissions, housing and the supply chain.

Let’s keep the momentum going.

Thank you for taking action on this important issue.
