SB1367 and HB 2320 requires a declaration of war from Congress before Arizona National Guard troops are called into federal combat service. This simple piece of legislation supports the most crucial and somber power identified in the US Constititon....that Congress has the authority to declare war.

The Arizona Senate voted in favor of SB1367 and then transmitted the bill to the House to complete the legislative process. It passed the Senate on 3/21/2023 and the Speaker of the House has taken NO ACTION since that time.
When the House finishes passing the bill, it will be sent to the Governor for her signature.
