Pharmacists have more medication related education and training than any other health care professional. We are accessible and easy to reach with 90% of Americans living within 5 miles of a pharmacy. We work collaboratively with other health care providers to care for our patients. Pharmacists are heroes every day for our patients and our communities – now more than ever during this public health emergency. Pharmacists have been key front-line health care providers and access points for testing, vaccination, and patient care during COVID-19. We are easy to reach and ready to help! I would like to tell you about my pharmacy practice so you can learn more about how pharmacists deliver important patient care services and why it is important for my patients and the community for me to be reimbursed for these services. As such, I urge you to support inclusion of pharmacists as health care providers under Medicare Part B in any upcoming legislative package and advocate for it to your Congressional colleagues.
